Developments in the unfortunate Tollywood drug scandal case seem to have no end. In the latest, it is believed well-known music director Chakri may also have had links with drugpin Calvin Mascarenhas.
Chakri, who made his debut with Puri Jagannadh’s Bachi, died in 2014, reportedly from overdose of LSD, a mood-changing drug.
While interrogating Mascarenhas, the police extracted some crucial information that links the music director with him.
The scandal crippled Tollywood after links between drug peddlers and several artists from the industry emerged. Other popular names involved in the scandal include director Puri Jagannadh, and actors Charmee Kaur and Ravi Teja, among others.
Jagannadh was interrogated by the SIT probing the case on Wednesday for nearly 10 hours. The others also have been served notices and will be interrogated one by one till the end of the month.
