Varun Dhawan’s Judwaa 2 Trailer Release Postponed?
Varun Dhawan‘s upcoming venture, Judwaa 2, with his father David Dhawan is a sequel to the latter’s 1997 hit film Judwaa, which had starred Salman Khan, Karisma Kapoor and Rambha.
In the sequel, Varun has a dual role and he will be seen romancing Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu. The team had been travelling across London, Mauritius and Mumbai to complete the shooting of the film, which is set to hit the screen on September 29th, 2017.
With the dates coming nearer, speculations were rife that the movie’s first trailer will be released with Akshay Kumar’s Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, which hit the screens just today. That, however, hasn’t happened.
Reports say the father and son duo were not satisfied with the first trailer and they will be making modifications to it before its final release. A leading daily quoted a source saying, “The trailer was supposed to be out with Akshay Kumar’s Toiler. But that isn’t happening anymore. The team, including Varun and dad David, didn’t like the trailer that was cut. With so many big films failing to connect with the audiences, they felt that their trailer needed to be stronger and send out the right message. So they have delayed the release of the trailer till they are completely satisfied with it. David has asked the team to re-edit and cut a fresh trailer, which must have all the essential masala elements to make people want to see the film.”
Now it is being said the trailer may be released with Varun’s best friend Siddharth Malhotra’s upcoming film A Gentleman. There has not yet been any official confirmation on the same yet.
However, on Friday morning, Varun took to Twitter to sort-of clear the air and wrote, “Ahaha keep speculating my friend the date for the trailer will be out soon (sic)”
Well, all we’ll have to do is wait… and just wait!
